Secret Fountains is a series of 30 large-scale black and white images of derelict fountains photographed at night prior to their removal from a modernist “Towers in the Park” style apartment complex to make way for condominium townhouses. Some of the fountains will be re-purposed by the developer as fountain sculptures in a new public park on the site, Installed on 300 feet of retaining wall adjacent to the apartment complex, bordering on the Kay Gardiner Beltine trail, this installation speaks to Toronto’s endangered modernist history.

Produced using biodegradable paper, the installation will remain in place until it naturally fades away.
